A maximum speed, set at the discretion of the county engineer, is established for those areas of Whatcom County in which county forces or those hired by the county are working within the traveled roadway, provided the areas are properly posted with signs in accordance with the Federal Highway Administration's "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices." Upon completion of the construction project, the signs shall be removed.
