Borough of Wanaque, NJ Chapter 42 Restricted Areas

§ 42-1 Restricted areas established.

Municipal office areas in Wanaque Borough Hall, 579 Ringwood Avenue, Wanaque Police Department, 579 Ringwood Avenue, Wanaque Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 5 Melrose Avenue, Wanaque DPW, 14 First Avenue, Wanaque Public Library, 616 Ringwood Avenue, Wanaque Fire Department Co. 1, 626 Ringwood Ave, and Wanaque Fire Company Co. 2, 4th Ave. Haskell have been secured and such offices are not open to the public to protect documents, digital data and other written, copied or printed materials that are not subject to the Open Public Records Act,[1] which may include, but are not limited to, personally identifiable information that is protected by the Statutes of the State of New Jersey and the federal laws of the United States.

§ 42-2 Signs to be posted.

The Borough of Wanaque shall be required to post signs outside of offices which read "Restricted Area, Authorized Employees Only."

§ 42-3 Prosecution for trespassing.

Persons who trespass on these posted, protected offices may be subject to prosecution under N.J.S.A. 2C:18-3.

§ 42-4 When effective.

This chapter shall take effect after publication thereof and final passage as required by law.
