1.
Regular elections. A regular election shall be held annually to coincide with State elections.

Special elections. The Assembly shall provide by ordinance for special election.

Notice of election. At least thirty (30) days published notice, as specified in Section 1.05, shall be given of a regular or special election. The notice shall state the purpose of the election.

Nominations. Candidates for elective office shall be nominated by a petition signed by at least 10 qualified voters of the Denali Borough. All nomination papers comprising a petition shall be assembled and filed in person with the clerk during office hours as one instrument not earlier than 120 days nor later than 45 days before the election. No nominating petition may be accepted unless accompanied by a signed acceptance of the nomination by the candidate.

Election procedure. All elections shall be non-partisan. The Assembly by ordinance shall prescribe rules for the conduct of Denali Borough elections.
7.
Determination of election results. The candidate for an office that receives the greatest number of votes is elected to the office. In case of a tie, the election shall be determined by lot from among the candidates tying.
