The OS-2 secondary open space district regulations are included in the zoning ordinance to achieve the following purposes:
(a)
To set aside and protect those areas where open space is generated as a byproduct of another use;
(b)
To encourage the development of associated open space;
(c)
To protect areas important for production of resources;
(d)
To meet the criteria set forth in the open space and conservation element of the general plan.

Land may be used in the OS-2 district for secondary open space uses as provided in the open space use table, Section 18.54.030.

Those uses so indicated in the open space use table, Section 18.54.030, are permitted in the OS-2 district subject to the issuance of a conditional use permit by the planning commission.

The tree removal equipment in an OS-2 district is as follows: Removal of live trees and dead wood shall be allowed upon granting of a tree removal permit by the city services department.
