(a) No unsterilized dog or cat shall be released by the city or its designee for adoption unless the adopter first follows the "delivery to veterinarian" procedure given in PGMC §
10.04.100(d).
(b) Any person who violates or fails to perform an agreement to sterilize an animal as provided in this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and may be enforced pursuant to Chapter
1.16 PGMC. The animal is subject to seizure by the city or its designee.
