(a) 
Civic center.
(1) 
Rental rate, damage deposit and cleaning fee.
(A) 
Monday - Thursday: $60.00 per hour with a two (2) hour minimum rental period, plus a $100.00 damage deposit, plus a $50.00 cleaning fee.
(B) 
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: $400.00 rental fee (4 hours), plus a $100.00 damage deposit, plus a nonrefundable $50.00 cleaning fee. Additional hours will be charged at a rate of $60.00 per hour.
(2) 
Payment; refund of deposit.
The full amount of the rental fee must be paid at least thirty (30) days prior to the reserved date. If the rental fee is not paid by at least 30 days prior to the reserved date, the reservation will be cancelled and any amounts previously paid returned to the lessee, less a damage and cleaning fee amount of $150.00. $75.00 of the damage deposit and cleaning fee will be refunded for cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the reserved date.
(b) 
Municipal pavilion.
(1) 
Rental rate, damage deposit and cleaning fee.
$25.00 per hour with a two (2) hour minimum rental, plus a $50.00 damage deposit, plus a $25.00 cleaning fee.
(2) 
Payment.
$75.00 to be paid at the time the reservation is made. This deposit will remain as a damage deposit and cleaning fee when the rental fee is paid.
(3) 
Refund of deposit.
$37.50 of the deposit will be refunded for cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the reserved date. Less than 30 days prior to the reserved date no amount of the deposit or fee will be refunded.
(c) 
Municipal barbecue area.
(1) 
Rental rate, damage deposit and cleaning fee.
$25.00 per hour with a two (2) hour minimum rental, plus a $50.00 damage deposit, plus a $25.00 cleaning fee.
(2) 
Payment.
$75.00 to be paid at the time the reservation is made. This deposit will remain as a damage deposit and cleaning fee when the rental fee is paid.
(3) 
Refund of deposit.
$37.50 of the deposit will be refunded for cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the reserved date. Less than 30 days prior to the reserved date no amount of the deposit or fee will be refunded.

(b) 
Reservations:
(1) 
Game reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance (unless approved by City Manager/Parks Director).
(2) 
Tournament reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
(c) 
Cancellations:
(1) 
Cancellation of any game and tournament must be made at least 5 days prior to event for full refund.
(d) 
Resident/non-resident:
(1) 
Renters who live within the city limits of Mercedes are required to show proof of residency via identification and utility bill within the past 60 days.
(e) 
Insurance:
(1) 
Renters must sign a waiver of liability releasing the City of Mercedes of all liability.
(2) 
Renters for tournaments and games must also provide proof of general liability insurance for their participants and event.
Note: If a person/entity rents all four (4) baseball/softball fields (located at Collier Park) for a tournament and for the same rental period, a $25.00 discount will apply per field per day.
(f) 
Co-sponsorship and co-promotion of events held at City's park facilities.
(1) 
Co-sponsorship of events at City park facilities.
Subject to City Commission approval, the City Manager may enter into co-sponsorship agreements with entities and/or individuals for events held at the City's park facilities whereby the City sponsors the event when co-sponsorship will assist in bringing to the City a broad range of activities and entertainment of commercial value, thereby enhancing the quality of life of the general public. Such agreements shall be considered on a case by case basis and shall be made under terms and conditions deemed by the City Commission to be in the best interest of the general public. Co-sponsorship agreements are not subject to the park facility rental fees provided by this section, but such fees may be used as consideration in such agreements.
(2) 
Co-promotion of events at City park facilities.
