The purpose of this chapter is to adopt uniform regulations and procedures for the destruction and disposition of official public records or office files and memoranda.

The town of Winthrop, Washington, does hereby adopt Chapter 40.14 RCW, et seq., as amended, as the official procedure and regulations regarding the destruction and disposition of official public records or office files and memoranda.
