The City hereby discontinues the use of the previously adopted city logos, which is described as the Sunkist logo from 2004 and the PR logo from 2020:
The city hereby adopts and adds a city logo and the Logo Design Guide, which is described as follows:
Two waves in each design variation represent the two rivers in the city. The color blue in the waves symbolizes the flow of water and energy while the gold represents the sun's reflection in the water and the commitment to excellence. The circular motion of the waves represents the cycles of life; continuous flow of energy; and a focus on sustainable use and reuse. The circular motion also embodies the concept that "everything old is new again," thereby emphasizing the city's history, present, and future environment.
Supplementary versions, including negative variants, shall be made available to ensure adequate contrast when applied to dark backgrounds. A chromatic version shall also be provided to ensure adaptability across complex backgrounds and diverse applications These supplementary versions shall include polychromatic variants rendered in flat colors, as well as monochromatic variants in the approved City color palette and in black and white. Please refer to the official Design Guidelines for additional clarification and applicability of the logo across multiple mediums.
The official Logo Design Guide, as adopted by the city, shall serve as the primary reference governing the proper use, application, and reproduction of the city's logo across all media and platforms. Any substantial revisions or updates to the Logo Design Guide shall be submitted to the city council for review and formal approval prior to implementation.
