(A) 
Whenever the Code Enforcement Officer shall determine that any violation of this chapter has occurred, he shall send a written notice to the violator.
(B) 
The notice must state that the violation must be corrected and removed not later than the tenth day after the date of the notice.
(C) 
If the violation is not corrected or remedied within ten days following the date of the notice required by this section, the Code Enforcement Officer is authorized and directed to correct or remove the violation, and to assess the expense of such correction or removal against the violator.
(D) 
This section shall not be construed to limit the authority granted by any other law for a police officer or other authorized person to remove an object which is obstructing traffic.
(E) 
The court may order abatement and removal of the source of an obstruction or encroachment on conviction of an offense under this chapter.

The Operations Manager is authorized and directed to remove plants and trees found in any street. The Operations Manager is further authorized and directed to trim branches, limbs, and foliage of any plant or tree which overhangs or grows above any street, so as to provide a minimum clearance of eight feet above the street level at the curb line, and so as to be graduated toward the center of the street to a minimum clearance of 12 feet above the street level at the center of the street.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter for which no penalty is otherwise provided shall be subject to the penalty provided in § 10.99.
