It shall be unlawful for any person occupying the dog park at Doherty Park to violate any of the following park rules:
A. 
Park hours. It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy or be present in the park from dusk to dawn. The Town, at their discretion, may change their hours of operation at any given time. The hours of operation for the Dog Park are posted online.
B. 
The dog park shall be closed from December 1 to the following March 1, and it shall be unlawful for any person to occupy or be present in the park during this time except authorized personnel of the Town of Beekman. The Town may, at their discretion, open or close the park at any given time.
C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to possess or harbor a dog in the park that has not first paid for an annual membership and licensed the dog with the Town Clerk.
D. 
All persons who possess or harbor a dog in the park must have on their possession and available for inspection: photo identification, the dog's license and proof of membership for the dog present.
E. 
All persons occupying or present at the park may possess no more than one dog. All persons possessing a dog in the park must be over the age of 18 years old.
F. 
All persons occupying or remaining in the park with a dog must possess a leash of sufficient size and durability for the dog which he/she possesses.
G. 
All persons must leash the dog he/she possess upon entering and exiting the park and must unleash the dog while in the park.
H. 
It is the duty of each dog owner or each person in possession, custody or control of a dog to remove any feces left by his/her dog.
I. 
No person shall possess a dog less than six months old in the park.
J. 
No person occupying or present in the park shall possess any food.
K. 
No person occupying or remaining in the park shall litter within any park area.
L. 
All persons will obey all rules posted at the Dog Park.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable for each offense by a fine of not more that $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
