For statutory provisions authorizing the establishment of the office of director of finance and the transfer of the city clerk's duties to such office, see Gov. Code §§37209 and 40805.5.
The director of finance of the city shall be appointed by the city administrator of the city and shall perform the duties of director of finance in addition to other municipal duties.

All of the financial and accounting duties of the city clerk are transferred to the director of finance.

The director of finance shall perform all of the accounting and financial duties presently performed by the city clerk and shall have all necessary powers for their performance.
