Hereinafter and prior to the adoption of any other code or parts thereof, or amendments to same, the council directs the fire chief of the Ketchikan fire department to submit to the council at its first meeting after the then current calendar year, or at such other time as may be directed by the council, and annually thereafter, a report and his recommendations on all changes in the 2021 International Fire Code, or the 2021 International Building Codes, which have been adopted by the National Fire Protection Association and/or by the Western Fire Chief Association and the International Conference of Building Officials; and it shall be the duty of such officer to submit such reports. This procedure shall apply to all subsequent amendments of the fire regulations, 2021 International Building Code or the 2021 International Fire Code.
