No motor bus or stage used and operated for the transportation of passengers for hire shall be stopped or parked for the loading or unloading of passengers and/or their baggage or express upon any street or alley in the city except at such place or places as may be first approved or designated by the mayor of the city, and the mayor is hereby so authorized to make such designation; provided however, that such parking is hereby prohibited upon, and the mayor shall not designate or authorize any parking upon the following portions of streets: Bennett Avenue from Seventh Street to Fifth Street; Meade Avenue from Seventh Street to Fifth Street; and Sixth Street from Bennett Avenue to Dudley Avenue. All such buses and stages shall be driven and operated only upon such route for entering and leaving the city as shall have been first designated by the mayor, who is hereby authorized to make such designation. All such designations as above provided for shall be in writing, signed by the mayor and filed with the city clerk and thereafter shall be notice to all concerned.

Any persons or corporations who violate or fail to comply with the provisions of this chapter shall upon conviction thereof be guilty of a misdemeanor and be punishable as set forth in Section 1.28.010 of this code.
