The Pedricktown First Aid and Rescue Squad shall be the dedicated Oldmans Township ambulance squad and shall hereafter be referred to as the "Squad."
A. 
The Squad shall promptly respond to calls for attendance at any medical emergency, and for any life-threatening emergency event occurring in the Township.
B. 
The Squad shall, when notified by the Salem County 911 Center, that there is a medical emergency, or life-threatening emergency occurring in the Township respond and attend without delay, with suitable equipment, apparatuses, and properly trained personnel.
C. 
The Squad shall keep and maintain in good repair and working order suitable and adequate medical and basic life support apparatus to discharge its obligations pursuant to this Agreement.
D. 
The Squad agrees to supply the services of trained and equipped emergency medical personnel, utilizing mutual aid when necessary.
E. 
The Township agrees that it will contribute to the Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) to any volunteer emergency medical personnel, eligible for same.
F. 
The Township shall provide an annual financial stipend, which shall be paid to the Squad on a quarterly basis. The amount of the stipend shall be determined by the Township and shall be at the complete discretion of the Township.
G. 
At all times the Squad shall keep on file in the Township of Oldmans Clerk's Office a current and updated version of its Corporate By-laws, its Code of Ethics, and its Procurement Policies, as well as its policies regarding Sexual Harassment. Should any such policies be amended, changed, or replaced, updated versions of documents shall be filed with the Township Clerk within 30 days of such amendment, change, or replacement.
H. 
The Squad shall abide by all Township Ordinances, Rules and Regulations.
A. 
A representative of the Township Committee and the Squad shall meet quarterly to assist each other in maintaining the public trust and to discuss the provision of Squad services. Meetings shall take place at a time and location that is mutually agreed upon by both parties. The attendance of the Township Committee liaison at the Squad monthly meeting shall meet this obligation. In addition, the Squad shall provide the following information at the following intervals:
(1) 
Shall submit reports based on Oldmans Township Municipal Ordinance.
(2) 
Submission of vehicle maintenance logs on an annual basis.
(3) 
All training records of the volunteer emergency medical personnel on an annual basis.
(4) 
The Squad shall be responsible for maintaining their own roster and keeping it current (delete inactive members when appropriate) and shall provide the roster to the Township on an annual basis.
B. 
The Squad'S compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes, rules and regulations, including, but not limited to N.J.A.C. 8:40-1 et seq. is required.
C. 
All emergency vehicles will be purchased, owned and insured by the Township.
D. 
As per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-3 and 40A:11-9a, all emergency equipment priced by the Squad shall be done by receiving three competitive quotes, unless the provider is through a New Jersey State contract, which shall be provided to the Township prior to approval by the Township for purchase. The Township shall have the power to waive the three-quote requirement any time it deems appropriate.
