There is hereby adopted by reference that certain code known and designated as the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 11, further described as the 2025 California Green Building Standards Code, also referred to as the 2025 CALGreen Code, published by the California Building Standards Commission.
Such Code shall become and be the City of Santa Clarita Green Building Standards Code, which seeks to ensure buildings have a more positive environmental impact and encourage sustainable construction practices as specifically provided for therein.
The City of Santa Clarita Green Building Standards Code shall become effective for building permit applications received by the city on or after January 1, 2026.
At least one copy of the City of Santa Clarita Green Building Standards Code shall be maintained and kept available for reference and examination by the public at the city’s Permit Center public counter.
