For the purposes of this chapter, the Mayor is the principal executive officer. In the absence of the Mayor, the Common Council President Pro Tempore (Mayor Pro Tem) is the principal executive officer. In the absence of the Mayor and the Common Council President Pro Tempore, the Common Councilmember holding the at-large position shall be the principal executive officer. If the Common Council President Pro Tempore (Mayor Pro Tem) is the At-Large Common Councilmember, then the Common Councilmember holding the District A seat shall be the principal executive officer.
