City and Borough of Sitka, AK Chapter 18.35 PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS BONDING REQUIREMENTS

§ 18.35.010 Public improvements under $50,000.

The municipality may but is not required to require performance and payment bonding on any public improvement contracts totaling $50,000 or less per contract.

§ 18.35.020 Bonding on contracts up to $400,000.

On public works contracts of more than $50,000, but not exceeding $400,000, the municipality may require less than the amounts of required performance and payment bonds, as required by AS 36.25.010, provided the contractor meets the requirements and supplies the information required by AS 36.25.025.
