City and Borough of Sitka, AK Chapter 19.45 UNIFORM CODE FOR ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS

§ 19.45.010 Uniform Code of Abatement of Dangerous Buildings (UCADB) adoption by reference.

The 1994 Edition of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as written by the International Conference of Building Officials, is adopted and incorporated herein by reference.

§ 19.45.040 UCADB Section 302 – Dangerous Building, amended.

The first sentence of UCADB Section 302 – Dangerous Building, is amended to read as follows:

For the purpose of this code, any building, structure, or site which has any or all of the conditions or defects hereinafter described shall be deemed to be a dangerous building, provided that such conditions or defects exist to the extent that the life, health, property or safety of the public or its occupants are endangered, or there exists a public nuisance as defined in section 18.05.010 of the Sitka General Code.

§ 19.45.050 Amendments to cross references in other codes.

“The Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings,” as adopted in SGC § 19.45.010, replaces all references to the “International Property Maintenance Code” in any of the adopted building codes.
