City and Borough of Sitka, AK Chapter 19.105 FIRE MARSHAL DEFERRAL STANDARDS

§ 19.105.010 Plan review and state building code enforcement.

As required by an exemption granted to the city and borough from the State Fire Marshal under the authority of 13 AAC 50.075, the city will perform nonstructural plan reviews and will approve construction plans and specifications as stipulated in 13 AAC 50.027. At a minimum, the municipality will enforce the State Building Code, 13 AAC 50.010, 50.020, 50.023, 50.024, and 50.025.

§ 19.105.020 Enforcement of state fire statutes and regulations.

As required by an exemption granted to the city and borough from the State Fire Marshal under the authority of 13 AAC 50.075, the city will enforce applicable sections of AS 18.70, and 13 AAC 50 and 55.

§ 19.105.030 Fire and life safety inspection program.

As required by an exemption granted to the city and borough from the State Fire Marshal under the authority of 13 AAC 50.075, the city will conduct a building fire safety inspection program which meets or exceeds the standards of the program which would be conducted by the State Fire Marshal.
