The keeping of wild animals which may, if released, cause nuisance or danger to the community is prohibited.

Wild animals shall include, but not be limited to, lions, tigers, leopards, bears, elephants, ocelots, cheetahs, wolves, coyotes, etc.

No person shall knowingly, purposely or intentionally feed deer, cause deer to be fed or provide food to deer in Marshall Township on any public or private property. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, disbursement of food on the ground, at a feeding station, in a feeding device, or in a container of any form; providing a salt or mineral lick/block; or any other means which serves to provide feed to any deer in Marshall Township. This prohibition shall not include live vegetation such as ornamental landscaping, flowers, trees, vines, or vegetable gardens. This prohibition also shall not apply to licensed veterinarians, Animal Control Officers, or county, state, or federal game officials who are in the course of their duties and have deer in their custody or under their management.

Any person who violates Section 47-3 shall, immediately and permanently upon notification from the Township, remove feed and feeding devices utilized to feed deer, and discontinue the activity for which the notification was given. If a person complies with such notification by the date specified in the notice, no penalties will be sought as outlined in Section 47-5. The notification under this Section is not mandatory, and penalties may be sought whether such notification was sent or received.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any provision of this Article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 and, in default of payment, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Every day that a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
