All steady employees of the city for a period of six months or more are hereby allowed one day's sick leave of absence for each month of service, and said sick leave is cumulative up to a total of 12 months making a total of 12 days maximum sick leave, and all part-time employees are allowed sick leave on a pro rata basis.
