(1) 
"Air gun"
includes the following: air gun, air pistol, air rifle, BB gun, and toy or other guns of any kind or nature when so designed, contrived, modified, and used to propel, by compressed air, by gas, or by spring-loaded plunger, a pellet, dart, hard-tipped arrow, bean, pea, BB, rock, or other hard substance a distance of more than 25 feet with sufficient force to break windows or inflict injury upon persons or animals.
(2) 
"Balisong knife," also known as "butterfly knife," means a knife consisting of a single-edge blade and a two-piece handle. In the closed position, the two halves of the handle sheathe the blade. In the open position, the two halves of the handle form a haft. When the knife is held in the full open position, the blade is locked.
(3) 
"Firearm"
means a weapon or device from which a projectile may be fired by an explosive such as gunpowder.
(4) 
"Chucka sticks," also known as "numb chucks," "chako sticks" or as "nunchaku," means any instrument which consists of two pieces of wood, metal or other substance connected by a chain, rope, or other similar device approximately 8 to 10 inches in length.
(5) 
"Switchblade knife," also known as "spring blade knife," means any knife having a blade that opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring mechanism, or other device, or any knife having a blade which opens or falls, or is ejected into position by force of gravity, or by an outward, downward or centrifugal thrust or movement.
(6) 
"Throwing star,"
means any multipointed metal object designed to embed upon impact from any aspect.

It shall be a gross misdemeanor for a person to discharge a firearm in a place where there is a reasonable likelihood that humans, domestic animals or property will be jeopardized.

(1) 
It shall be a gross misdemeanor for a person to carry, exhibit, display or draw any dagger, sword, bayonet, axe, hatchet, machete, straight-edge razor, or razor blade not in a package, dispenser or shaving appliance, any knife, or other cutting or stabbing instrument, club, or any other weapon apparently capable of producing bodily harm other than a firearm in a manner, under circumstances, and at a time and place that either manifests an intent to intimidate another person or warrants alarm for the safety of other persons.
(2) 
Subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to or affect the following:
(a) 
Any person who by virtue of his or her office or public employment is vested by law with a duty to preserve public safety, maintain public order, or to make arrests for offenses, while in the performance of such duty; or
(b) 
Any person acting for the purpose of protecting himself or herself against the use of presently threatened unlawful force by another, or for the purpose of protecting another against the use of presently threatened unlawful force by a third person; or
(c) 
Any person making or assisting in making a lawful arrest for the commission of a felony; or
(d) 
Any person engaged in military activities sponsored by the federal or state governments.
(3) 
A person convicted of unlawful use of weapons to intimidate another shall lose his or her concealed pistol license, if any, and the court shall send notice of the conviction to the Washington State Department of Licensing and the city, town or county which issued the license.

(1) 
It shall be a gross misdemeanor for a person knowingly to:
(a) 
Manufacture, sell, dispose or possess any blackjack, sandclub, metal knuckles, balisong knife or switchblade knife; or
(b) 
Furtively carry, with intent to conceal, any dagger, dirk or other dangerous weapon, other than firearms; or
(c) 
Possess or carry on his or her person or in any vehicle chucka sticks or a throwing star.
(2) 
The proscriptions of subsections (1)(a), (b) and (c) of this section shall not apply to any person who by virtue of his or her office or public employment is vested by law with a duty to preserve public safety, maintain public order, or to make arrests for offenses, while in the performance of such duty.
(3) 
The proscriptions of subsection (1)(c) of this section relating to chucka sticks or throwing stars shall not apply to or affect regularly enrolled members of clubs and associations organized for the practice, instruction or demonstration of self-defense arts involving chucka sticks or throwing stars while such members are at, are going to or from their place of residence to, a practice session, an instruction session, a demonstration or a place of repair, or while such members are going from the place of purchase.

In addition to all penalties imposed by this code, the judge of the Longview municipal court may order that any weapon taken from a person convicted of a violation of LMC § 9.32.030 or LMC § 9.32.040, and which was used in the commission of such violation, be forfeited to the Longview police department for purposes of its destruction or use in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington.

It is a gross misdemeanor for any person to point or shoot an air gun at a person or property of another, or to aim or discharge the air gun in the direction of the person or residence of another, while within such range as to cause or inflict, or be likely to cause or inflict, injury to the person or damage to the property of another. In addition to any other punishment imposed by the court for a violation of this offense, the court shall direct that the weapon so used in violation of the provisions of this section be confiscated and shall thereafter be disposed of in accordance with statutes or ordinances governing the disposal of confiscated or found weapons.
