For the statutory provision stating that a code city shall collect, receive and share in the distribution of state collected and distributed excise taxes to the same extent as any class of city or town, see RCW 35A.82.010; for provisions regarding the motor vehicle fuel tax, see Chapter 82.36 RCW.
The city treasurer is authorized and directed to establish a special fund to be known and designated as "arterial street fund" into which shall be deposited all sums received by the city under Chapter 7, Laws of 1961, Extraordinary Session, of the state, together with any matching funds required by said state law.

The city treasurer is authorized and directed to establish a special fund to be known and designated as "urban arterial street fund" into which shall be deposited all sums received by the city as a result of the fuel tax of five-eighths of $0.01 provided for in RCW 82.36.020(3), together with all sums to be received by the city as a result of a one mill arterial street fund general property tax.
