That certain compilation, a copy of which is on file in the office of the city clerk and presently known as the 2020 National Electrical Code and American National Standard, recommended by the National Fire Protection Association shall be, and is, adopted as the electrical code of the city, governing and regulating the installation, repair, use, and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment and appliances; each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms contained therein are referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as though fully set forth in this chapter, except that the following regulations, provisions and conditions set forth in this chapter are also made a part of this code, which following specific regulations, provisions and conditions shall supersede the regulations, provisions and conditions contained in the National Electrical Code, when the same are in conflict with the specific regulations, provisions and conditions hereafter specified in this chapter.
