There shall be a Recreation Department for the Borough which shall have jurisdiction over all business pertaining to parks and recreation. The Chairman of the Department shall be a member of the Council designated by it.

The Department of Public Works shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all Borough recreation property, including buildings, parking lots, parks, playgrounds and tennis courts.
The Recreation Committee within the Recreation Department shall now be known and referred to as the "Joan Schaefer Recreation Committee."
The Director of Recreation shall:
A.
Attend all Recreation Committee meetings.
B.
Supervise all purchasing of the Department, under the general supervision of the Municipal Administrator.
C.
Prepare such studies and reports as may be required to enable the Recreation Committee to develop the overall policies for the Department program.
The Director of Recreation shall appoint an Assistant to the Director of Recreation who shall perform the following duties:
A.
Support the Director of Recreation with the day to day operations of the Recreation Department.
B.
Assist in the planning, development and implementation of various recreation programs and events.
C.
Supervise volunteers, manage budgets and ensure programs meet community needs and vision.
D.
Assist in the planning and execution of recreation events throughout the calendar year.
