A. 
“Guidelines”
means the electric vehicle charging station permit guidelines established pursuant to PVEMC § 15.20.020.
B. 
“Electric vehicle charging station” or “charging station”
means any level of electric vehicle supply equipment station that is designed and built in compliance with Article 625 of the California Electrical Code, as it reads on the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, and delivers electricity from a source outside an electric vehicle into a plug-in electric vehicle.

A. 
The city council hereby delegates to the building official the duty, authority and power to establish and amend, from time to time, guidelines and requirements for an expedited, streamlined permitting process for electric vehicle charging stations. The guidelines shall be consistent with California Government Code Section 65850.7 and will allow for electronic submittal of permit applications and associated documentation. The building official shall also create the checklist required by California Government Code Section 65850.7 and any forms or other related documents necessary to implement this section. The guidelines, checklist and all other permitting documentation shall be accessible on the city’s website (http://www.pvestates.org).
B. 
The administrative provisions set forth in Chapters 15.08 and 15.12 PVEMC shall apply to this chapter.
