Beginning on the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, regular city council meetings shall be held on the first and third Mondays of each month excepting when a holiday falls on said first or third Monday, the regular council meeting date shall be on the day following.

A. 
Beginning with the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, the mayor and each member of the council shall each receive $10.00 for each regular meeting attended at which a quorum of council members appear.
B. 
The city treasurer is directed to disburse these amounts, together with the actual amount of out-of-pocket expenses of each council member, including mileage at 20 cents per mile, after receiving a written statement verified by member or mayor's signature of the actual expenditure of funds upon city businesses. Any amount not claimed in writing within 60 days shall be deemed waived.
C. 
For the purpose of this section, the attendance shall be taken from the minutes of each council meeting.
