The committee is made up of the mayor and council and an equal number of eight appointed members, who shall be electors of the city. Members shall receive no compensation from the city; however, they may be reimbursed for expenses incurred while serving. The city may also utilize no more than three nonresident advisors to the committee. Nonresident advisors shall have a significant interest in the city, including property ownership, business ownership or employment. Appointed members or advisors shall not be employees, agents, or officers of the city of Rainier.
