(A)
No person shall keep or permit to be kept on their premises any wild or vicious animal for display or for exhibition purposes, whether gratuitously, or for a fee, or as a pet within the City limits. This section shall not be construed to apply to zoological parks, performing animal exhibitions, or circuses.
(B)
It shall be unlawful for anyone to allow any wild animal to be at-large outside of its secure quarters or cage. In the event such animal is discovered outside of its secure quarters or cage, it shall be presumed that the person who owns, raises, or keeps the same, willfully allowed it to roam at-large outside of the cage.
(C)
Any wild animal that is found at-large may, at the discretion of the DCO or Animal Services Officer, be impounded.
(D)
Any wild or vicious animal impounded or found at-large within the City may be humanely euthanized by the DCO or Animal Service Officer upon determination that such animal is sick or endangers the health of other animals or persons, or if such animal is suspected of having rabies, or manifesting a disposition to bite or attack when found at-large, or as deemed necessary by the DCO.
