Municipality of Anchorage, AK Chapter 4.10 COMMISSION ON SALARIES AND EMOLUMENTS

§ 4.10.010 Commission on salaries and emoluments of elected officials.

A. The commission on salaries and emoluments of elected officials established by the Municipal Charter shall have those powers, duties, restrictions, membership composition, and terms of office more specifically set forth in section 5.08 of the Charter.

B. The sunset provisions in section 4.05.150 shall not apply to this commission.

§ 4.10.020 Organization; meetings.

A. The commission on salaries and emoluments of elected officials:

1. Shall meet and organize at least once each calendar year. At this meeting the commission shall elect a chair.

2. Shall meet at least every two years to review the compensation of elected officials, and may take action to change an elected official's compensation not more frequently than once each year. These compensation review meetings shall be held at least 30 days before the end of the municipality's fiscal year.

3. May hold other meetings to request or gather information in order to make informed decisions.
