A. 
Owner Responsibility: It shall be the duty of the owner, agent, lessor or occupant of every house or other building, except barns, garages and other buildings which are part of the same property with a numbered house or building, to place on every such building, or property entrance, its proper street number either by painting or by affixing such numbers in metal, glass or other durable form.
B. 
Dimensions And Placement Of Number: The number shall be at least three inches (3") in height and so placed as to be easily seen from the street or road.

Buildings fronting streets from the north and fronting streets from the east shall bear even numbers in the last figure (digit). Buildings fronting streets from the south and from the west shall bear odd numbers in their last figure (digit).

The building official shall devise and maintain the rules to be followed in numbering parcels and buildings. A copy of the rules shall be available in the building official’s office.

A. 
The building official shall assign numbers and make adjustments as appropriate.
B. 
Notice To County: Upon the assignment of an address, the building official shall notify Pierce County departments in the manner specified by Pierce County and shall record the assignment or adjustment in the appropriate city records.
