From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, names of candidates for elective municipal offices shall appear upon the ballot as a result of the candidates filing declarations of candidacy for the respective offices and positions concerned in the form, place and manner as provided by the applicable statutes contained in RCW Title 29, as they now exist or may hereafter be amended.
