§ 3.40.010 Created – Purpose – Use.

There is created a special fund to be known as the water fund of the city.

All revenues derived by the city from the operation of the water system in the city shall be paid into the water fund. All expenses created against the water system, or any part thereof, shall be paid by warrants issued against the water fund.

§ 3.40.020 Warrant – Form and contents.

The warrants to be drawn against the water fund shall be substantially in the following form:

Interest __________
CITY OF LEAVENWORTH to the Treasurer of said City pay to the order of _______ _______________, _________________ Dollars ($______) out of the water fund, or otherwise appropriated.
This warrant is issued by order of the City Council made on the _____ day of _____ _______, 20___ and is in payment of claim No. ________for ___________________.
This warrant shall draw interest at the rate of eight percent (8%) per annum from and after the time the same is presented to the Treasurer of said City, and endorsed by said City Treasurer as not paid for want of funds.
