There is created a merit system for the purpose of reimbursing volunteer firemen of the city for services hereinafter set forth from moneys in the fire call fund at the end of every year.

The method of determining the reimbursement for volunteer firemen for services shall be determined by the volunteer firefighters' organization with the approval of the chief.

The city fire chief or his designee shall be responsible for maintaining the required records as provided by this merit system.
