The Cowlitz County Auditor is authorized pursuant to RCW 29.81A.010 to publish and distribute a local voters' pamphlet beginning with the 1998 elections and any future elections thereafter for which the county shall have either elective offices or ballot measures on the ballot and any future elections for which any city or town, or any special taxing district located wholly within Cowlitz County shall have either elective offices or ballot measures on the ballot. The format of any such local voters' pamphlet shall, whenever applicable, comply with the provisions of Chapters 29.80 and 29.81 RCW regarding the publication of the state candidates' and voters' pamphlets.

The Auditor shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 29.81A RCW respecting the content, production and distribution of any such local voters' pamphlet. The Auditor shall, in consultation with participating jurisdictions and pursuant to the directives of RCW 29.81A.030, adopt and publish administrative rules necessary to facilitate the provisions of this chapter.
