The purpose of this chapter is to assure that the fees charged by the Kitsap County sheriff for official services are in keeping with the actual cost of performing those tasks.

The fees set forth herein shall be adjusted automatically every January 1st, to account for any increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W) for the Seattle area as of the preceding July report.
(2)
The ordinance codified in this chapter shall take effect thirty days after enactment by the Kitsap County board of commissioners.
