(a)
Established. The parks and recreation director position is hereby established and shall be appointed by the city manager.
(b)
Duties. The parks and recreation director performs a variety of professional and administrative work in planning, directing and implementing a year-round, citywide parks and recreation program; performs all duties and exercises all powers pertaining to such office as provided by law and ordinances of the city.
