The building codes adopted by reference in Section 7.36.030 and the provisions of this chapter shall constitute the Dublin Electrical Code and may be referred to as such.

210.53 Office Receptacle Outlets. In office buildings or offices exceeding ten (10) percent of the floor area of the major use, receptacle outlets shall be installed in all permanent walls or partitions of each office so that no point along the floor line any wall space is more than six (6) feet (1.83m) measured horizontally, from an outlet in that space including any wall space two (2) feet (610 mm) or more in width and the wall space occupied by sliding panels in exterior walls. |
As used in the section a “wall space” shall be considered a wall unbroken along the floor line by doorways, fireplaces and similar openings. Each wall space two (2) or more feet (610 mm) wide shall be treated individually and separately from other wall spaces within the room. A wall space shall be permitted to include two or more walls of a room (around corners) where unbroken at the floor line. |
As used in this section “office space” means an enclosed office space with hard walls. Open office floor plans are not affected by this section. |
Receptacle outlets shall, insofar as practicable be spaced equal distances apart. Receptacle outlets in floors shall not be counted as part of the required number of receptacle outlets unless located near the wall. |
The receptacle outlets required by the section shall be in addition to any receptacle that is part of any lighting fixture or appliance, located within cabinets or cupboards, or located over five and one-half (5 1/2) feet (1.68 m) above the floor. |
