RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
For uses and purposes herein, a recreational vehicle is defined as follows:
1. 
Any motorized vehicle designed primarily for camping or temporary living of any kind;
2. 
Any non-motorized vehicle or trailer which has one (1) or more wheels, and which is primarily designed for camping or other temporary living;
3. 
Any camper or other unit not a vehicle or trailer as described above, for camping or other temporary living purposes; and
4. 
The above definitions, shall include, but not be limited to, motorhomes, camper vans, coaches, travel trailers, popup campers, tent trailers, truck bed campers, all of which may be of any size or description.

A. 
Recreational vehicles may be stored upon property owned or occupied by the owner of such recreational vehicles.
B. 
Recreational vehicles may not be occupied as temporary or permanent residence while parked or stored on a lot or tract of land in the City of Sparta. Exception can be made with Board of Aldermen approval for extreme conditions which may necessitate the owner of the recreational vehicle having to temporarily occupy the recreational vehicle.

A person who violates this Chapter shall be subject to a maximum penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00). Each day the violation continues shall be a separate infraction.

In addition to and without waiver of any criminal enforcement, this Chapter may be enforced by a civil suit for injunctive relief filed by the City.

A. 
This Chapter will be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Board of Aldermen and approval by the Mayor.
B. 
If any Section or Subsection, provision, or clause of this Chapter is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, void, voidable, or invalid, the validity of the remainder of the Chapter shall not be effected thereby, it being the intent of the Board of Aldermen in adopting this Chapter that the unconstitutionality or invalidity of one part of the Chapter shall only make that part inoperative and sever it from the Chapter and shall not affect the remainder of the Chapter.
C. 
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the terms of this Chapter are hereby repealed.
