No person or company shall operate a crane as defined in the Crane Operator Licensure Act, 63 P.S. 2400.102 within Lower Moreland Township without first receiving a permit from the Township.
No individual may operate a crane, offer one's services as a crane operator, or hold oneself out as a crane operator unless licensed and qualified in accordance with the Crane Operator Licensure Act. A copy of the licensure certification must be maintained on-site and must be made available to the Township upon request.
All cranes operating within Lower Moreland Township must have been inspected within the past year by a crane inspector certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators ("NCCO"), in accordance with the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration ("OSHA").
Any person, individual, partnership, co-partnership, association or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter with respect to the permit requirements for construction cranes shall be guilty of a summary offense, upon a conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300 and/or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days.
