A. 
The superintendent of streets is authorized to place and maintain upon highways within the jurisdiction of the city distinctive roadway markings as described and with the effect set forth in California Vehicle Code Section 21460.
B. 
The distinctive roadway markings shall be employed to designate any portion of a highway where the volume of traffic or the vertical or other curvature of the roadway renders it hazardous to drive on the left side of the marking or to indicate no driving to the left as provided in California Vehicle Code Section 21460, and shall not be employed for any other purpose.

The city council is authorized by resolution to provide for the installation of "NO U-TURN" signs at other intersections in the city upon the determination by the city council that such prohibition is necessary for the protection of life or property or for the proper regulation of vehicle traffic.

The traffic engineer is authorized to designate and maintain, by appropriate signs, or by paint upon roadway surfaces, such bicycle routes, lanes or paths as the city council shall establish. The signing shall include, but not be limited to, the establishment of bicycle crossings at locations where traffic conditions warrant.

No person shall operate or drive a motor-driven bicycle, in, on or across any private driveway approach, sidewalk area, public walkway, bicycle path or trail without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property.

No person shall attach himself with his hands or catch on or hold on with his hands or by other means to any moving vehicle or train for the purpose of receiving motive power therefrom.

A. 
No person shall operate or drive a commercial vehicle in, on or across any private driveway approach, sidewalk area or the driveway itself without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property if a sign or markings are in place indicating that the use of such driveway is prohibited.
B. 
For the purpose of this section, "commercial vehicle" means a vehicle having a rated capacity in excess of one-half ton.

No operator of any vehicle shall drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral procession or a parade if such vehicles are conspicuously so designated. The directing of all vehicles and traffic on any street over which such funeral procession or parade wishes to pass shall be subject to the orders of the police department.

No operator of any vehicle shall enter any intersection or a marked crosswalk unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection or crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to proceed.

A. 
Pursuant to Section 35701 of the State Vehicle Code, no person shall operate or drive a vehicle within a residence district when such vehicle exceeds the maximum gross weight stated on appropriate signs which are erected indicating the streets affected. "Residence district" shall be as defined in the State Vehicle Code.
B. 
Nothing in this section shall prohibit any commercial or public utility vehicles from having ingress and egress by direct route on restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries from or to any structure located within the restricted area.

No person shall ride or drive any animal or any vehicle over or across any newly made pavement or freshly painted markings in any street when a barrier sign, cone marker, or other warning device is in place warning persons not to drive over or across such pavement or marking, or when any such device is in place indicating that the street or any portion thereof is closed.

No person shall intentionally operate a vehicle on a street or alley of the city in such a manner that the wheels thereof rotate so that the forward progress of the vehicle is less than the circumferential distance traveled by its wheels.

Whenever the fire apparatus of the city or any part of the apparatus is engaged in extinguishing a fire within the city, it is unlawful for any vehicle of any kind to enter upon any street where the apparatus is so engaged from any direction between or from the two adjoining streets of the block in which the apparatus is so engaged. This restriction shall be in force and operative continuously during the entire time that the fire apparatus is so engaged and until the apparatus, hose and appliances are in place and ready to depart.
