There is adopted a system of house numbering. The purpose of this chapter is to promote the general welfare and the harmonious development of the city; to facilitate mail delivery; to aid in the proper delivery of goods and commodities in the rendering of services; and to promote the business and social life in the city.

No building, house or other structure shall be numbered except in accordance with the system established by this chapter.

The number system shall run starting at A Street with 100 then north, starting at First Street with 100 East to East Second Street, etc., west to West Second, etc. Numbers will be odd on the north side of the street and even on the south side of the street, and will be odd on the west side of the street and even on the east side of the street.
