There is hereby created and established a fleet fund, which will be an internal service fund, defined in FMC 3.30.023.

The purpose of the fleet fund is to provide for the acquisition, replacement, maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles for the city of Fife, all being necessary for the benefit of the public served.

An internal service fund is used to account for the financing of goods or services provided by one department to other departments within the city of Fife on a cost-reimbursement basis.

The fleet fund shall receive revenues and expend the same from any source the city council so desires and establishes in the annual budget.
