For statutory provisions on discharging firearms, see Penalty Code § 246.
For the purposes of this chapter, terms used are defined as follows:
A. 
"Air gun"
means any gun using air, carbon dioxide or other gaseous material as a propellant for BBs, shot, or other projectile.
B. 
"Firearm"
means any weapon such as a musket, rifle, pistol, or shotgun using gun powder to propel a projectile.

No person shall discharge a firearm or air gun within the city and no person shall hurl or throw any stone or other missile by means of a sling, slingshot, or similar device within the city except at a range authorized and approved by the city council.
