It is unlawful for the owner or occupant of any premises to fail to reconstruct or repair such premises, including residences for the purpose of preventing rats, mice or other rodents from gaining entrance thereto. It is unlawful for the owner of any food or food products, goods, wares, or merchandise in such premises to fail to adequately protect the same to prevent rodents from gaining access to or coming in contact therewith. If rodents are found to be present, the owner or occupant of the premises shall apply such reasonable measures for the eradication as approved by the director.
