A. 
Offenses against the public peace and safety shall be punishable as herein provided.
B. 
For purposes of this chapter, offenses against the public peace and safety are hereby defined to include:
(1) 
An offense as defined and/or enumerated in the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice, N.J.S.A. 2C:1-1, et seq.
(2) 
An offense as defined and/or enumerated in Chapter 4 of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Code, N.J.S.A. 39:4-1, et seq.
(3) 
Any act or offense defined and/or enumerated in any Ordinance provision included in Chapters 69, 100, 127, 171, 195, 205, 224, 229, 269, 345, 349, or 398 of the Borough of Lindenwold Municipal Code.
It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian or other person having the care or custody of a minor child under 18 years of age by any act or word, or the failure to act, or by the lack of supervision and control over a minor child to encourage, contribute toward, cause or tend to cause a minor child to commit any offense against the public peace and safety as defined herein, within the Borough of Lindenwold.
Supervision is the exercise of control over a minor child, knowing his or her whereabouts, knowing with whom he or she associates and in what activities he or she may engage in, which could affect or offend the public peace and safety.
It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian or other person having custody and care of a minor child under the age of 18 to assist, aid, abet, allow, permit, or encourage a minor child to violate the public peace and safety, either by overt act, by failing to act, or by lack of supervision and control over a minor child.
The fact that a child under the age of 18 years is apprehended committing an offense against the public peace and safety while on any public streets, highways, alleys or parks, and in violation of the hours of curfew as set forth in Chapter 127 of the Borough of Lindenwold Municipal Code, shall be prima facie evidence of a violation of this chapter on the part of the parents, legal guardian or other person having custody or care of said minor child.
When any person under the age of 18 years is adjudicated as delinquent in the Superior Court of New Jersey Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the parent, legal guardian, or any other person having care and custody of said minor may be summoned before a Judge of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Lindenwold and ordered to provide supervision of the minor child. Upon a subsequent finding of delinquency of the juvenile in the Superior Court, the failure of the parent, legal guardian, or any other person having legal custody of the minor child to provide supervision after being ordered to do so, shall subject the parent, legal guardian, or other person having legal custody of the minor child to the penalties enumerated herein.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, may be punished by a fine not to exceed $2,000, a term of community service not to exceed 30 days, and/or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter are hereby repealed as to such inconsistency only.
