For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
A. "Alcoholic beverage"
means a compound produced for human consumption as a drink that contains one-half of one percent or more of alcohol by volume.
B. "Public display or exhibition of alcoholic beverages"
means the carrying of open cans or bottles of alcoholic beverages or the carrying of glasses or other types of containers for alcoholic beverages and containing the same to, in, on or within any vehicle or upon the public places within the town, but does not include carrying or transporting of alcoholic beverages from retail establishments in sacks, cases, boxes, cartons or other similar containers with unbroken seals.
C. "Public drinking"
means the drinking or consuming of alcoholic beverages in, on, within or upon any vehicle or any public place in the town.
D. "Public places"
means all streets, avenues, sidewalks, alleys, parks, and interior parks in the town, and does not include the premises licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages at retail by the State Liquor Control Board.
