The Board of Commissioners of the Village of Ridgefield Park desires to prohibit the operation of electric and motorized bicycles, scooters, and similar vehicles and devices on Village property as permitted by State law, including bicycle paths, parks, and other public property as follows:
A.
Operate any "motorized bicycle," as that term is defined by N.J.S.A. 39:1-1, upon any bicycle path, or upon any trail as specified in N.J.S.A. 39:4-14.16(e).
B.
Operate any "motorized scooter," as that term is defined by N.J.S.A. 39:1-1, upon any bicycle path, or upon any trail as specified in N.J.S.A. 39:4-14.16(e); provided that this provision does not apply to physically disabled persons.
C.
Operate any "low-speed electric bicycle," as that term is defined by N.J.S.A. 39:1-1, upon any bicycle path, or upon any trail as specified in N.J.S.A. 39:4-14.16(e).
D.
Operate any "low-speed electric scooter," as that term is defined by N.J.S.A. 39:1-1, upon any bicycle path, or upon any trail as specified in N.J.S.A. 39:4-14.16(e).
