(a) 
The City Council adopts the International Plumbing Code, 2024 edition, published by the International Code Council, a copy of which is located on the City of Granbury Building Department website.
(b) 
The City Council adopts the NCTCOG 2024 regional amendments to the International Plumbing Code, 2024 edition, a copy of which is located on the North Central Texas Council of Governments website.

(a) 
Contractor’s bond.
It shall be the duty of every contractor or master plumber, who shall make contracts for the installation, maintenance, or repair of plumbing and drainage systems for which a permit is required, to register his name with the building official, or his designated representative, giving full name, residence, and place of business and, in case of removal from one place to another, to notify the office of the building official or his designated representative accordingly. It shall further be the duty of any person to obtain the proper license and give good and sufficient bond in a sum fixed, from time to time, by the city council, which bond shall be approved by the city attorney as to form, conditioned to conform to the plumbing regulations of this article and other ordinances or laws of the city in reference to plumbing. Said bond shall fully indemnify and protect the city against all costs, expenses or damages which may in any way or manner accrue against the city in consequence of the operations covered by the permit issued. The bond required under this provision shall be executed by the master plumber as principal and by a corporate surety duly authorized to do business under the laws of the state.
(b) 
Landscape architect or landscape irrigator’s bond.
It shall be the duty of every landscape architect or landscape irrigator who engages in, carries on or works at the business of installing, maintaining, altering, repairing or other service on any landscape irrigation system or yard sprinkler system to any private water supply system to obtain a bond and license as described in subsection (a) above.
