(a) 
Intent. The Specific Plan Overlay District is intended to promote the maintenance and viability of certain neighborhoods through appropriate zoning. It is an overlay district where special standards are established in order to promote the development of integrated land uses exhibiting an excellence of design greater than otherwise could be achieved using conventional development standards.
(b) 
Locational requirements. The Specific Plan Overlay District may overlay any property.
(c) 
Designation. The Specific Plan Overlay District shall be designated by the symbol (SP) on the City of Yucaipa Official Land Use Plan.

(a) 
Property designated with an SP overlay shall be developed in accordance with the requirements of the applicable Specific Plan that has been adopted for that property.
